Lillian Wu, Principal
As ambitious as she is talented, Lillian draws on over 10 years of experience to lead her studio and create groundbreaking solutions for clients. She has crafted hotel projects around the world and enjoys collaborating with professionals throughout the process—from planning to design to construction.
Lillian practiced alongside Tony Chi for many years and honed her skills in master planning, art curation, selection of materials, and colors. Born in Taiwan and raised in New York, she weaves traditional Eastern virtues with free-thinking Western culture to find novel approaches on each project.
Emma Burdett, Creative Director
A poet at heart and meticulous by nature, Emma obsessively pursues beauty in everything she designs—from luxury hotels to private residences. Well versed in the principles of holistic design, she inspires her team to create spaces that are expressive, thoughtful, and most importantly, technically sound.
Emma worked with Lillian for several years and shares the same ambitious vision for LWS. She’s a key member of the team and has established many of the firm’s frameworks for materials specification and communication.
